When practicing is arranged at private homes, the instrument can be wonderful, but it may also happen that the hosts find it difficult to leave you alone when you are practicing.

Some competitions organise that pianos are specially delivered to host families to be used by the contestants. The Arthur Rubinstein Competition in Tel Aviv even arranges pianos at the hotel rooms for the contestants.
