The Honens Competition in Calgary has a specific focus on Chamber Music: the semi-finalists perform with a cellist, the finalists with a string quintet (in 2018 with a wind quintet). At the Hong Kong IPC, all finalists play a duo with guitar and also a piano trio, quartet or quintet. At the Arthur Rubinstein Competition 2023, trios or a quintet with wind instruments were performed in the finals.
