At the Gurwitz (USA) ’24 , the commissioned piece was composed by Aaron Prado for Latin-American ensemble: trumpet, two violins, Leona bass, percussion and piano. The chamber music selections usually change from year to year, introducing some variety. The Honens Competition in Calgary has a specific focus on Chamber Music: the semi-finalists perform with a violinist, the finalists with a singer and a string quintet (in 2018 with a wind quintet). At the Hong Kong IPC, all finalists played a duo with guitar and also a piano trio, quartet or quintet. At the Arthur Rubinstein Competition 2023, trios or a quintet with wind instruments were performed in the finals.
